This incident caused the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
